It's hard to ignore the fact that our school system is broken.
Working with long-time educator and administrator Bo Adams, a team at Unboundary worked to create a system schools could use to help reinvent themselves. We looked at community involvement, student engagement, classroom design, curricula, and many other factors to develop a holistic plan for school redesign, based on the principles of architectural master planning.
The initial deliverable was a large-format booklet to leave behind with educators and school administrators after initial conversations. This was later translated into a digital iPad-friendly version for one-on-one presentations.
This project was submitted to Communication Arts for the 2013 design annual, and was published in the fall of that year.
