My way of coping during the protests and trying to do something (anything) to help was to donate money to a number of organizations providing legal services to protesters and the families of victims of police violence, as well as educate myself.
And while I was at it, I thought I might as well share what I learned. So for the month of June, every day, I drew a portrait of a civil rights leader I learned about that day.
The portraits are up for sale in my Threadless shop. All proceeds will be donated to the NAACP legal defense fund.
